Annie is very precocious, extremely adorable, immensely endearing, and I couldn't love her more if I gave birth to her myself.
She completely owns my heart.
She is loving, affectionate & abundantly joyful.
She is also very energetic.
She loves to run and play and especially enjoys "butt-tucking".
We call her "Butt-Tuckin' Annie"...
We also call her CRAZY ANNIE..
That's okay though cause' butt-tucking is also referred to as the "CRAZIES"
Hey, who are ya calling a butt-tucker?
I'm not the only Labrador around here that likes to tuck my butt.
Have you observed Vikki lately???
And, just for future reference.....
Butt-tucking is not limited to Labradors, ya know.
It is a completely natural activity.
It happens to be the way canines burn off excess energy.
Maybe you should try a little butt-tucking yourself.
YOU SEEM TO BE
A LITTLE
STRESSED.
[and NO, I am not hiding Sierra's toy behind my paw.]
[For dog's only]
Hello Fellow Canines!
This is Annie.
I am going to offer you some very valuable advise.
Are you tired of sitting & staring out the window?
Would you like to go to the park, retrieve your jolly ball or take a nice walk?
Well, this is all ya gotta do...
Please keep in mind at all times that the element of suprise is crucial for a successful mission.
When no one is expecting it... Suddenly start running in circles at TOP SPEED.
Get in your best pounce position with your front low and your butt high.
[Demonstration photo graciously donated by Vikki]
Hmmmmmm,....Have I proven my point??????
Okay, back to the mission....
After you have mastered the pounce position... Start chasing your tail... and then simply tuck your rear underneath. Keep it really low & really tight. Skoot away really fast, circle a few more times, and then tuck your butt again.
If you have a really long hallway~ butt tuck, run down the hall real fast ~ butt-tuck again, bark a few times for added enjoyment, then spin wildly, and fly back into the livingroom.
The crazier you can act ~ the better.
Always watch out for small children.
Don't worry about the cat!
Spin & tuck your butt again.
It just goes like this...
POUNCE...
Skoot...
Spin,Spin, Spin, Spin, Spin, Spin,
Tuck your butt & hold as long as possible.
Skoot away quickly.....and repeat.
It's a lot more fun if all the humans in your household have jumped up on the furniture to stay out of your way.
JUST THINK CRAZY
If you are getting a little bored, and would like to go outside to play, just go into your best butt tuck routine.
You'll be running free in fresh air & sunshine in no time at all.
And if the mission is a bust....... Well,as they say......
THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW.
*Do not confuse butt-tuckin' with butt-skootin'.
For butt-skootin' you may need to visit your vet.
We actually encourage butt-tucking at our house.
It is a great way to release all that extra energy.
I kinda start them off with a play stomp.
I just stomp my foot as if I am going to chase them.
I guess you could say, "I just wind them up & watch 'em go".
Then I just let them go as long as they wish.
[or as long as I can stand it]
If your Lab is butt-tucking ~ relax & enjoy it.... They just need some exercise.
Butt-tucking is simply a quick release of energy and one of the things that Labradors do best.
It is advisable to stay out of the way.
It is also advisable to take them outside as soon as possible.
If you are the proud owner of a"Butt-Tuckin' Labrador" ~ Email, me, Annie. I'll send you my award for your web site. Mommy will add your butt-tucker's name & photo to the "Butt-Tucker's Hall Of Honor"
If you have a photo of your butt-tucker in action, please send it to Mommy & me. Mommy hasn't been very successful with the camera. That's 'cause we run very, very fast.
It is pretty difficult to take photos when you are hanging from the chandelier.
