For the first 10-14 days,
the eyes are closed.
The ears open by day 21.
*One Week Old*
For the first two weeks ~
Your puppy does nothing but nurse & sleep.
Healthy puppies
should double their birth weight
within those first two weeks.
*Two Weeks Old Today*
His eyes are open
but he is not focusing well yet.
Notice how his eyes are blue.
Most Lab puppies are born with blue eyes.
His eyes will change
to a dark hazel or dark brown
within the next few weeks.
Look who is sitting up ~

*Three Weeks Old Today*
Our First Meal ~ Day 21
Hey, who is the little chubbo
in the middle of the pan?
[He's not planning on missing any meals!]
"What is this yummy stuff?"
We're enjoying our first taste
of puppy food ~
moistened with warm puppy formula
and dyne supplement.
"That was pretty tasty"...
Now I need my beauty sleep....
*Four Weeks Today*

*Five Weeks Today*
~ and ready to "rock & roll"...
*Six Weeks & Totally Handsome*
Then they get a few weeks older....
