My name is
Mateer's *Sahara Sakeena*

My name is Arabic.
Sakeena means God-inspired.
It also means peace of mind & tranquility.

I am known as Sahara.

I am a yellow Labrador ~
but I am the lovely color of
the sand of the Sahara.

Here I am at 9 weeks.

I'd like a ride in the wagon too please...

I think I'm a Retriever!
I found Mommy's shoe.

It's my job to deliver the mail.
Yippee! The A.P.R.I papers are here!

I see the camels on the horizon....

I've grown into a lovely young lady.

I am a very quiet gentle Labrador.

I am always smiling.

I am always happy.

I am always very willing to please
and I was very easy to train.

These photos were taken
while I was spending time
with my Mommy
in her office.

I love Mommy's office
because Mommy always keeps
a big supply of treats in here..

Mommy usually hides them
but I know where they are..hee hee.

Every time Mommy gives me a treat,
she says "Now, Go Away Please"....
Hmmmm,.... That must be
a special term of endearment...

Maybe it's because
I like to walk under the desk
and spin Mommy around in her chair
and come out the other side.

When I do it about twenty times,
I always get a treat.

It's fun to make Mommy dizzy.

Did you notice how my nose has turned pink?

Does this happen to your Labrador???

Not to worry....it's called a snow nose.

If you look at my puppy photos,
my nose is black.

In the winter it turns pink.

It is perfectly acceptable.
It's just a normal thing that happens.

During the summer
it will turn black again.

Maybe I should wear a nose muff....
Do they make nose muffs????

You shouldn't confuse a winter snow nose
with a dudley nose.

A dudley nose is lack of pigmentation
and the eye rims & lips will also be pink.

If your Labrador's eye rims & lips
are solid black like mine
and there is black pigmentation
on the nose during the summer,
it's just that snow nose thing going on
that happens to many yellow Labradors.

This photo was taken in April.
See how the black is coming back?

Mommy will post a photo
when my nose turns black again
so you can see the difference.

You can visit my Labby friends
at the pink nose club.
